Today’s topic is a freebie which is awesome! I decided to talk about five upcoming books for 2019 that I’m dying to not only read. There’s plenty more than that (you’ll see my more full list of 2019 books later this year), so these five aren’t in any order. Hopefully these five might just be books that you will also be excited about!
1. The Gilded Wolves
Expected Publication Date: January 15th 2019
Holy crap you guys, the anticipation is real! I actually am not a fan of her previous two YA books, so at first, I wasn’t even interested in this upcoming book. But after reading a sample on NetGalley, I was simply blown away. Her writing doesn’t feel as overwhelming as I thought it was in her debut novel and it suited the Paris atmosphere so well. So that sample was enough to make me die inside to get an ARC, or simply just try to wait patiently for its release.
2. Sherwood
Expected Publication Date: March 19th 2019
If you have followed my blog for a while now, you’ll know that I absolutely love Hunted with all my soul. So when I heard about her next book being about Marian donning Robin Hood’s cloak after his death, I am here for this! Plus it’s so cool that this over is similar to Hunted. She could write retellings forever and I wouldn’t be mad about it 🙂
3. Enchantée
Expected Publication Date: February 5th 2019
A book set during the French Revolution with magic? French royalty? Sign me up! This book is about a street girl who can use magic who becomes entangled in high French society during the reign of Marie Antoinette. This time period has had me fascinated for years and I can’t get enough of stories set during this time in history. I hope this is a lovely, magical debut that will sit on my favorites shelf.
4. The Raven’s Tale
Expected Publication Date: April 16th 2019
THE COVER IS HERE! You guys know that I LOVE Cat Winter’s novels and this one about a young Edgar Allen Poe is probably one of my top three anticipated releases of next year. The synopsis says that it’s about Edgar, who has a Muse named Lenore appear to him; Muses are dangerous creatures that lead the artist down a dark path. Both the cover and synopsis are everything to me and I’m hoping there will be real historical photos in this book like many of her other ones. Can I have ARC yet? 🙂
5. Last of Her Name
Expected Publication Date: February 26th 2019
This upcoming book from the author who brought us The Forbidden Wish is now bringing us a sci-fi retelling of Anastasia! We did that get with Heart of Iron earlier this year, but I’m still stoked for this book. Anya has grown up as Stacia, who gets her world thrown upside down when her real identity is revealed. I loved Khoury’s previous novel so much that I want to see how she tackles another retelling 🙂
What 2019 books are you excited for? Are you dying for any of these?
OMG I loved Hunted and had NO IDEA about Sherwood. I’m so excited about it now!!!

ENCHANTEE!!! I’ve been dying for an ARC of that one! I had no clue Cat Winters was coming out with a new book but it sounds fantastic! I’m such a sucker for books set in Paris, so Gilded Wolves looks good too. 2019 is going to be an awesome year for books (hopefully)!

Right? Cat Winters had mentioned a new book clear back last fall but had to push it back to 2019 but it will be so worth it 🙂 and oh yes, the need for an ARC of Enchantee is real!

Gasp! I added The Raven’s Tale to my TBR immediately upon seeing this. I have a borderline unhealthy obsession with Poe and the idea of this book sounds amazing. Gimme gimme!
